Overview
TalentReform is a recruitment and outsourcing company that connects African tech talents with global opportunities. They are also very involved in bridging the gap and creating equal opportunity for women in the tech space.

Discover
Women are highly under-represented in the tech industry, even more so in Africa, and with the growing demand for tech talents, it is important that more women take up tech roles.
TalentReform operates on a 3D model which are -
- Discover - discovering African tech talents
- Develop - The development phase is focused on training African female tech talents, helping them become tech experts.
- Deploy - The deployment phase is the recruitment and outsourcing branch of the company, matching African tech talents with global job opportunities.
Define
After collaborating with my team and gathering information from the standpoint of potential users, I created a persona representing an ideal user, giving an in-depth understanding of the user's goals.
Project Goals
Design the company website showcasing all the necessary information about TalentReform, and gathering a waitlist for female students that would like to join the academy.
Success Criteria
For the project to be considered a success, I would deliver a functional website that would be responsive across web and mobile devices.
Challenge
I worked with a small team comprising of the Co-founder who is an HR personnel, a business development strategist, and a software developer. While my team had knowledge about the inner workings of hiring candidates for jobs, designing a website like this was still a first of it's kind for all of us. Although their knowledge helped a great deal in the research process, I still had to understudy companies with similar concepts.
The design had to be split into 3 key areas to cater for end users - Job seekers, Recruiters, and Students.
Ideate
I mapped out user flows and navigations while collaborating with my team to work out the structure of the website and web app and ensure seamless user experience.
Visual Style
Next, I started establishing the design system and visual styles for TalentReform. This was done to increase efficiency and consistency across the platform during the high fidelity and iteration.
Prototype
After several back and forth on design iteration and experimentation, we settled on the design for the website, deciding to go with using illustrations across the website.
HomePage - The homepage provides new users with information about TalentReform, and a call to action to our primary users - Recruiters.
The Jobs page targets our other set of end users, Tech Talents, who are looking to get a job.
The academy page targets female students looking to start out in the tech field and land a good job.
Thoughts & Learnings
TalenReform's goals to an extent is unique. Over the course of working on this project, we made discoveries that fine tuned the initial goals of the company. I collaborated with my team, did several iteration on flows and designs. I learned a whole lot, from the users perspective and from a stakeholders standpoint, trying to satisfy both and staying withing the scope of the business was intriguing. All in all it has been one heck of a ride, and I'm happy with the knowledge I've gleaned and the outcome so far.
Orebamz did such an amazing job with TalentReform, from the logo to the brand identity to the UI/UX design. She delivered perfectly.
