Lagos is a thriving city that hardly ever goes to sleep as people are always moving around at all hours of the day. Having a safe and very affordable means of transportation is very important.
Mega connect is an app that connects users with safe and affordable rides easily and fast.

Discover
My design process for this project started with research based on competitor analysis, researching what competitors are currently doing. Also who are our target users, and what can be a competitive edge for Mega Connect.
Define
After the discovery phase, the next step was to define this project, the features, goals, user personas based off of our target users, to keep us within scope.
Project Goals
The goals of this project were to design and prototype the mobile app interface, interactive design showing the process from sign up to booking a ride, and other features.
Success Criteria
The project would be considered a success if the mobile app prototype is delivered within the 1 month timeline
Challenge
I worked with the client and developer on this project. The challenge for me was designing a product similar to Uber but still distinct and user friendly, a product that would really have a competitive advantage.
Since the client wanted something similar to Uber and Bolt, usability was not considered much as a challenge because we assumed users are already familiar with these interfaces.
Ideate
After the research and defining process , I started structuring out the site map and user flow of the app, not straying too far from what users are already familiar with.
Visual Style
After ideating, I started designing and building out the visual design system and flow of the app to maintain consistency and design faster. For me, building the visual style goes hand in hand with designing the app, about mid-way through, I would have figured out all the design elements needed for the app.

Thoughts & Learnings
Thinking back, I know that there is a whole lot more that could have been done if I had had more time and resources, however I'm proud of the result and delivery. With every new project there's more to learn, and designing Mega Connect app did include a whole new learning experience, like learning new tools, plugins, and interactions.
I wanted an app like Uber but something still unique in itself, you gave me what I wanted.
